  Welcome to our New Blackboard Server!!
  
  All courses that you are teaching for Fall 09 and that have been officially established by the Registrar to date should be up and running at this time on the new server.  You should also be the instructor in those courses...I have NOT migrated any of your old courses to the new server to copy content from....I will start doing this on request from you when I return on the 27th of July....

   
  At this point, since I am leaving for vacation Saturday July 18 (and will be TOTALLY OFFLINE)....and since I am the only one in Support Services at this time that has any knowledge of this new platform, NO ONE at the Helpdesk will be able to assist you with the new interface yet.   Please keep this in mind for the next several weeks (and especially next week)!!
   
  My suggestion to each of you, is to start "playing" with the new server and become familiar with the interface....Please keep track of any "bugs" (things that you think you should be able to do but are not able to or things that do not appear to be working as designed, etc.) and report them to me ASAP.  Also, if you have suggestions on configuration and interface modifications, get them to me as well...I will be organizing formal training for all of you in early August and we can begin the process of fully implementing the new version for your classes for the fall 09 semester then...
